Our Privacy Policy

NextYou Innovative Solutions Pvt Ltd ("NextYou," "we," "us," or "our") takes the privacy and security of our users seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the NextYou mobile app and website, how it is used, how it is protected, and the rights you have over it. This Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use govern your use of NextYou's website and products. By using NextYou, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information Collection and Use

Registration for NextYou Users

To create a NextYou account, you are required to provide contact information such as your name, email address, and phone number. We collect this information during the initial sign-up process, and additionally when you respond to in-app surveys or preference requests. We use this information to set up your account, operate the service, and, where you have opted in, to send you product updates and communications. You may opt out of non-essential communications at any time.

Information We Collect

As part of operating NextYou's core function — detecting stress and scheduling recovery automatically — we collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information: name, email address, phone number, and (for paid plans) billing details.

  • Voice acoustic markers: pitch, jitter, shimmer, speaking rate, and vocal tension, extracted from a short voice journal entry or, where enabled, from ambient voice during natural use.

  • Calendar data: meeting density and free/busy status. We do not collect meeting titles, descriptions, attendees, or locations.

  • Screen time and sleep proxy data: overnight screen-off duration, used to infer sleep debt.

  • Derived scores: your Stress Score, Recovery Score, and Daily Load, computed from the signals above.

  • Device and usage data: device type, operating system, app version, and crash or diagnostic logs.

Voice Data Processing

Voice is processed specifically to extract the acoustic markers listed above. Once those markers are extracted, the underlying audio recording is deleted. NextYou does not retain a library of your voice recordings, and voice data is not accessible to anyone at your employer or organisation, regardless of plan type.

Uses of Customer Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Compute your Stress Score, Recovery Score, and Daily Load

  • Identify calendar gaps and automatically schedule a recovery session

  • Select the frequency-based audio session appropriate to your current state

  • Display your recovery trend within the app

  • Provide customer support and respond to requests you send us

  • Improve our models, using aggregated and de-identified data that cannot be traced back to any individual user

  • Meet our legal and regulatory obligations

We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and NextYou does not send unsolicited or bulk commercial communications. Any communications you receive contain instructions on how to unsubscribe.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

NextYou retains ownership of your data. Any third party that processes your data on our behalf is held to the same data protection standards described in this policy. We do not rent, sell, or otherwise provide your personal information to outside parties for their own marketing or commercial use.

Service Providers

We share information with a limited number of third-party service providers who help us operate NextYou, including cloud infrastructure and machine learning processing providers, payment processors, and analytics or crash-reporting tools. These providers are contractually prohibited from using your information for any purpose other than the service they provide to us.

Employer and Organisation Accounts

Some organisations purchase NextYou for their employees under a team plan. If you use NextYou through an employer or organisation account:

  • Your individual Stress Score, Recovery Score, voice data, and calendar data are never visible to your employer, manager, or account administrator.

  • Your employer may view aggregate, de-identified usage metrics only (for example, overall adoption rate across the organisation).

  • Your employer cannot access, pause, or modify your individual account.

Disclosure Disclaimer

We may disclose your information where required by law or where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to (a) comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of NextYou or our users; or (c) act in circumstances involving a threat to personal safety.

In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. Any acquiring party will remain subject to the terms of this Privacy Policy, and we will notify you of any such change.

Cookies

The NextYou website uses cookies to recognise returning visitors, keep you signed in, and understand site traffic patterns. Cookies do not damage your device, transmit viruses, or read information from your hard drive. Most browsers accept cookies by default; you can adjust your browser settings to decline them, though some website features may not function correctly without them. We do not use cookies to serve third-party advertising.

NextYou communications and pages may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. If you choose to visit a linked site, you do so at your own risk.

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you

  • Request correction of inaccurate or outdated information

  • Withdraw consent for specific data collection (voice, calendar, or screen time) at any time through your device or app settings

  • Request deletion of your account and associated personal information

  • Nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity, in accordance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023

Data Security

NextYou uses encryption in transit and at rest, restricted internal access to raw signal data, and standard infrastructure safeguards to protect the information we hold. Our Phase 2 architecture is designed so that voice and biometric processing can occur entirely on-device, without transmission to our servers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; if a breach occurs that affects your information, we will notify you and any relevant authority as required by applicable law.

Information collected through our app and website is currently processed in India.

Data Retention

Raw voice recordings are deleted immediately after acoustic markers are extracted. Derived scores and calendar/screen-time signals are retained while your account remains active, so that your recovery trend stays meaningful over time. Account and billing information is retained while your account is active and for a limited period afterward as required for accounting, tax, or legal purposes. Personal data is not kept longer than necessary for the purpose it was collected.

Children's Privacy

NextYou is intended for working professionals and is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If we become aware that a minor has created an account, we will delete it.

We will post any updated version on this page with a revised "last updated" date. For material changes, we will provide notice by displaying a prominent notice on our website or by notifying you directly through the app or by email.
